I have never tried this, but I think probably the problem may be solved
by changing when you set bitrate. 

Maybe you can try to set the bitrate just before the codec is called. Do
not close and release the dll driver after the seting and before the
encoding. Otherwise, a new instance of the driver will be created with
the setting at default values. As a first guess, it looks like the
values are set in one instance, and the encoding is using another new

Thanks. I found a good FAQ that explained it too.  It seems that the
YCbCr colorspace is more constrained for the possible values, right?
Also, there are a couple of differing conversions depending upon what
frequencies are more important (perceptually).

which movie filetype is the best (small file size,
fast playing, good qulity picture etc) as i hear people saying .RM
files are the best.......is this true?
